ELA Tutoring Session

Online or in-person tutoring in writing or reading comprehension.

Need a little help with writing or reading comprehension? Maybe you'd like one-on-one support for a class you're taking with another teacher. If so, then the pay-as-you-go option is for you.

After an initial conversation where we decide what you would like to focus on, you can schedule as many or as few sessions as you like.

$75 / hour session

Year-Long AP Psychology Tutoring

This is designed to go on throughout the school year and can be tailored to fit the individual student.

I might meet with you once per unit to reinforce content, or I could meet with you more often as you require.

Once the content is covered, I will continue meeting with you to review and work on test taking strategies. Additionally, we will practice FRQs and you will receive feedback on how you are doing and how you can improve.

$70 / hour

Scholarship / College Application Essays

Scholarship and college application essays can be tricky. How do you advocate for yourself without sounding pushy? Which attribute, activity, or experience should you focus on? I can help you select your topic and then perfect your essay. It's an exciting time in your life with many steps to take and choices to make; writing these essays can be stressful, but I can help ease the anxiety of crafting your essays.

Designed to be a three session arc, but this can be tailored to fit your needs.
$60 / hour session

Five-Paragraph Essay

The essential essay to get your point across quickly

The five-paragraph essay structure has stuck around so long because it works. It's a structure that once mastered that can be endlessly altered to be perfect for many different scenarios. At base it is also the perfect essay for timed essay situations. Once you have the structure mastered, you can spend your time in those situations where the clock is ticking down crafting an essay rather than worrying about how to craft an essay.

This is designed for a six session arc.

While the price structure is $420 dollars for a single student, this paper works well in small groups. Below are the prices for up to five students. All five students would be meeting at the same time. This would be useful for homeschool communities or households with children of similar ages.

5 students = $ 650

Research Paper Cycle

Learn how to find and select sources, craft a thesis and argument, and integrate research.

The research paper is where you learn to make an argument and back yourself up with experts in the field. Finding those experts can be challenging as can identifying which sources are trustworthy. I can help you with this and with learning how to create an argument that is persuasive as well as engaging.

This course is designed for nine sessions.

Additionally, while $650 is the total price for nine sessions for one student, the research paper works well in a small group setting. Prices are below for up to five students who would meet together at the same time. This is ideal for homeschool communities or households with children close in age.

Semester-long English Course

8th - 12th grade ELA content including writing and reading

This is designed to meet two days a week and turn in assignments on one day a week.

If you are looking for an ELA tutor, I would be very happy to work with you. I taught for sixteen years in the classroom and would love to work with you covering novels, plays, essays, and poems as well as learning how to write about them.

Two students = $100 / class or $200 / week
Three students = $150 / class or $300 / week
