Jensen Writes is a tutoring service dedicated to helping 8th to 12th grade students excel in writing, reading, college and scholarship essays, and AP Psychology. I am an experienced educator and am passionate about nurturing creativity and critical thinking in young people.

About Me.

I am a Florida certified teacher and hold a PhD in literature. I taught at the high school and college level for more than sixteen years, including a number of high-performing, nationally-ranked institutions:

Ransom Everglades Upper School, a college preparatory independent school with the expectation that students attend prestigious universities.
Crooms Academy of Information Technology, a public magnet high school with a dual enrollment program where students earn an Associate in Arts degree upon completion of high school.

While at FSU, I taught multiple classes from freshman composition courses to literature survey courses. My dissertation focused on 19th century British literature.

At the University of Bristol, I received a masters focusing specifically on early 19th century British literature. My thesis focused on Leigh Hunt, a British essayist and friend of John Keats.

At Flagler College, I began my literature studies and graduated with a Bachelor degree in English. I minored in Psychology, and joined both the English and Psychology honor societies while there.
